HER STORY: 

“Di na po ako nagpatingin ulit sa doctor nung nalaman kong ganun. Kasi nga wala akong pera”, narrates Marissa. “Tinutukoy ko na lang po yung pagpapagamot ng TB ko, dun sa center.”

"I really feel embarrassed every time I get to face people early in the morning.  That's why I really don't mingle with new faces and just stick to those people whom I knew.  

Small rounded flakes of skin (dandruff like) starts to form on the side of my face, from the rear of my ears down to my neck. “Tinakbo po ako sa ospital. At dun sa Philippine Heart Center nakita na makapal dawn g 2cm ang kaliwang bahagi ng puso ko, at 3cm naman ang kapal ng gawing kanan. Sabin g doctor doon, sa loob ng anim na buwan ay dapat daw mapanipis ito, sa tulong ng mga gamot na iririseta sa akin. Kung hindi po mangyari yun, ay ooperahan ako,” narrates Miguel. “At dun nga po nagsimula ang paghihirap ko.”

For almost a year and half, Miguel was made to rest, his condition worsened by the numbness all over the left side of his body.
